Looking for an easy and delicious appetizer for your next party? These Bacon Wrapped Smokies will be a hit and your guests will be begging for the recipe!
You may or may not choose to give it to them. You may choose to keep it as your secret recipe, but if you do tell them what’s in these miniature pieces of heaven they will be surprised to know that they are only three ingredients!
I’m all for simplicity when I’m throwing a party. I’ve found that the simplest parties, where I don’t have to stress over extravagant food are the most enjoyable which is why I love these Bacon Wrapped Smokies.
Bacon Wrapped Smokies
3 ingredients! That’s it! All you need is one package of Little Smokies, (I prefer Hillshire Farms. They didn’t pay me a dime to say that, I just know what I like!) one package of bacon, and one cup of light brown sugar. Oh! And toothpicks. I always forget to buy fun ones for special events, so I always end up using the plain old brown ones, but these party toothpicks are fun!
Cut each slice of bacon into fourths. Roll the bacon around the little smokies, then secure with a toothpick. Place in a 9×13 baking pan (I like to use my glass Pyrex baking pan) and cover with one cup of light brown sugar. Bake at 400 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Allow to cool for a bit before serving.
Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy as my four year old says!:) Bacon definitely makes everything better right and what’s not to love about the bacon and brown sugar combo? These Bacon Wrapped Smokies have the perfect amount of sweet and salty and will wow your guests tastebuds for sure! Be sure to save this recipe for your next party!
