I love a good meatball recipe! This recipe for Sweet and Spicy Meatballs is an easy crockpot appetizer that is sure to spice up your tastebuds!
Until recently, I was scared to make meatballs. Sounds silly, right? Hi my name is Sarah. I have this thing called a cooking and crafting blog and I used to be terrified of making meatballs! I have no reason why. Maybe it’s because I used to think they were too time consuming to make.
Our whole family loves meatballs and they seem to be a favorite at any get together during the holidays or special events. We’ve been known to make them the main course at our family meals too! It turns out meatballs are super easy to make!
Sweet and Spicy Meatballs
Place one bag of meatballs in a crockpot. I used my 6 quart crockpot and it worked perfectly!
Next, in a bowl combine the ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, cloves, white sugar, light brown sugar, celery salt, garlic salt, and chili powder. Then pour over the meatballs.
Cook on low for 3- 5 hours or until meatballs are heated through.
These meatballs have the perfect amount of sweet and spicy, hence the name and the longer these simmer in the crockpot the more the flavors combine and the spiciness increases. They aren’t too spicy though in case there are kids at the party.
So, if you are planning a party, or even just a meal for your family add the ingredients for these Sweet and Spicy Meatballs to your list. I may just be your new favorite recipe!
