Have you ever wanted to make ice cream, but don’t have an ice cream maker? This recipe for Homemade Ice Cream in a Bag is perfect for you!
I grew up on a dairy farm, so obviously I have a soft spot in my heart for dairy farmers. They’ve had a rough go of things lately and the current situation isn’t helping things for them. With the closure of schools and several restaurants across the nation, there is a lot of bottle necking going on and, unfortunately many dairy farms are being asked to dump their milk, so when I get the call to help out the dairy industry, I do just that! Here is a picture I took after my grocery pick up last week.
We love milk around here! Plus I had plans to make homemade ice cream in a bag and copycat Wendy’s Frosties from my friend Leah at The Farmwife Drinks with my crew, so I needed to plan for that as well. Not only are dairy farmers struggling, but in general, are farmers are struggling. Beef and pork farmers are also having a rough go of it, mainly because of the restaurants being pretty much non-existent. So, please continue to buy dairy, beef, pork, chicken, etc to help support farms!!!!
Any way back to this delicious Homemade Ice Cream in a Bag….I love homemade ice cream. We even got an ice cream maker as a wedding gift and I’ve thought about busting that bad boy out on several occasions, but I just can’t bring myself to do it. I’ve read the instructions and it sounds rather intimidating. Maybe one day I’ll get the courage, but for right now, I think we’ll continue doing it this way.
