Are you looking for a new way to use up some of those overripe bananas? Or, maybe you just like bananas and are looking for new recipes to try. Either way, you will love this recipe for Banana Bars with Cream Cheese Icing!
This recipe actually came from my husband’s Aunt Cindy. She brought it to a family get together and I’ll be honest, I’m not really a fan of bananas or anything banana flavored. My girls love bananas in any form, thank goodness, but we all loved this cake. I blame it on the cream cheese icing;) Everything is better with a little cream cheese icing!
Have you seen the Facebook meme that says something like “Your kids either eat all the fruit in the house, or it rots on the counter. There’s no in between.” We’re like that with bananas. I either can’t keep them around, or the rot on the counter. I try to be resourceful and make banana bread with them, with chocolate chips of course, but sometimes you need a change from the same ole banana bread. That’s why I had to have this recipe from Aunt Cindy!
