Are you looking for some easy Easter crafts to make with your kids while their home? This Easy Chick Fork Painting is super easy to make!
I always do better thinking of crafts when I have a certain theme. I’ve learned over the years that themes don’t have to focus on holidays…you can make anything into a theme. However, when there’s a special holiday coming up it just makes brainstorming a little easier.
Easy Chick Fork Painting
You will need:
Orange and white Construction paper
Begin by dipping the backside of the tongs of a fork into yellow paint and applying it to the paper in short strokes. Note~we discovered that forks that have smooth tongs work the best. If you are using a plastic fork and the underside is rigid, it won’t hold enough paint to work.
Your little one may get a little frustrated with this step until they get the hang of it. We discovered that you have to dip the fork in the paint a lot (I think Jo was used to using a paintbrush) and to turn the paper to make the round shape.
Once you have the outside of the chick done, cut a triangle from orange construction paper and glue it to the chick, followed by the googly eyes. Last, add some legs using a black marker.
I don’t know what it is, but I think googly eye crafts are so adorable!
You can’t look at them and not smile! Have fun being crafty with your kids!
